Patience Definitely Is Key
Cómo están?! Hope everyone is just great and having a jolly time this Xmas season! Sorry for not sending an email in a while. This week was quite the Rollercoaster, we had a slow start to the week, lots of finding and not much success, and we had to drop a few people that we had been talking to for awhile and it was super sad because they are awesome! But the weekend was amazing. We were blessed for the patience that we had this week, even though things were tough we kept going and eventually we found some of the most elect people I've met. We have been to Gettysburg 2 times these past two weekends and so that's kinda sick that I get to find some Latinos in Gettysburg! We found one woman named Alma there and she was awesome, she answered questions that usually people don't know how to answer or just get the answer completely wrong haha, and she said she would read the book of mormon and come to church, she didn't end up coming to church but she is definitely very interested and wants to continue with us. We also met this family on the last door to door contact of the night on Saturday, and this man from Panama answered and let us in. His wife was nice and talkative and we taught the restoration of the gospel of Jesus christ and at the end of the lesson we asked them how they felt during the lesson and when we asked that the wife got the chills and started crying. She said that she has like a 6th sense for truth haha. She said that she knows the truth when she gets the chills, and let me tell you she looked uncomfortable from the amount of chills she was getting haha. We met a few other people and had an amazing lesson with the family and extended family of our group leader gino! Many things happened this weekend and we had a great show up for our group yesterday at church! It really shows that God blesses us for effort, we may not be able to see some blessings clearly and they might come a lot later then we would hope or want, but they come, we just have to be willing to have patience in God's timing. I love all of you and hope you are well!
Spiritual Thought
During this time of the year it's important to remember the birth and life of Jesus Christ, and for me remembering his life helps me to remember how big of an example he was for all of us being perfect and all haha. But really if we follow what he did and try to develop the attributes he had, the world would be such a better place, do I invite you all to remember him and strive to be more like him during this Xmas season! ¡Feliz Navidad a todos!
