I'm A Father At-Last!!
Saludos mis queridos, a lot has happened since I last sent one of these. I became a father in my mission, meaning that I am training a brand new missionary! His name is Elder Butler, he is from Texas and his Spanish is pretty solid for having just started his mission so it's been pretty easy haha. We have had a few baptisms lately, Rafael and this woman named Iliana who we found knocking! Iliana was so cool to find, she had met with missionaries before but wasn't ready, but we were the 3rd time and she was ready! She was found and baptized in the same month and her testimony is already so strong! Oh also I'm in the same district as Elder Stewart and he is also training someone so it's just me and him in a district with 3 other brand new missionaries haha it's been pretty fun! Today I hit 14 months on my mission, it is going very quickly. I know I have a lot more time but I wish it would slow down just a little bit. Everything is going well here and I'm loving it! I hope everyone is having fun in school, work, day to day life!
One thing I read this week is something in ether 12 in the Book of Mormon about faith, weakness, and charity. Ether 12: 27 says
"And if men come unto me I will show unto them their weakness. I give unto men weakness that they may be humble; and my grace is sufficient for all men that humble themselves before me; for if they humble themselves before me, and have faith in me, then will I make weak things become strong unto them." I love how God gives us weakness so we can be humble and come to him, I know I'm very weak. But through humility and having faith I can be made strong! Hope you all can be humble and turn to God with your weaknesses!
Love you all!
