Adventures In Frederick

Hola Everybody!

It has been awhile since you have heard from me. I hope life has been well for all of you and all your wildest dreams are coming true. It's been a good time here in Frederick, lots of latinos. But, I have found that many of them aren't very interested. They kind of have a beehive mentality, all they can do is just work, and they don't have time for church. So that is frustrating when they can't get to church on sundays. But, we have a baptism scheduled for this sunday, her name is Dalia, she is 9 and a lot of her family are members. We were able to go to the temple on friday with her dad. I love going to the temple! The spirit is always so strong and I always hate leaving. I'll definitely be excited to go more often once I am back home! The end of until I come home! I definitely feel the pressure and excitement of it but I'm trying hard to keep going strong and still talk to everybody I can. Not too many crazy things have happened since I've been here. I was able to go and visit my very first area this past week and that was a trip down memory lane for sure. I was able to see some of the friends I made while I was there. I am probably only going to send one more email. after this one. haha

I have enjoyed a few scripture verses recently in the book of mormon in Jacob 5:70-72

70 And it came to pass that the Lord of the vineyard sent his servant; and the servant went and did as the Lord had commanded him, and brought other servants; and they were few.

71 And the Lord of the vineyard said unto them: Go to, and labor in the vineyard, with your might. For behold, this is the last time that I shall nourish my vineyard; for the end is nigh at hand, and the season speedily cometh; and if ye labor with your might with me ye shall have joy in the fruit which I shall lay up unto myself against the time which will soon come.

72 And it came to pass that the servants did go and labor with their mights; and the Lord of the vineyard labored also with them; and they did obey the commandments of the Lord of the vineyard in all things.

This has motivated me a lot, it says that this is the last time that the lord is going to nourish his vineyard, we really are living in the last days. I don't know when Jesus is going to return but I feel it is going to happen soon. My hope is that many of us will be ready for that, this is a big reason why I have been out here for this long, I may have only helped a few people, but it has been worth it. It is time for all of us to ask ourselves if we honestly feel like we are ready to tell our savior that we are clean, that we have repented of our sins. If not, we are going to feel very uncomfortable in his presence knowing that we haven't done all that was asked of us. Take it seriously, and don't procrastinate the day of your repentance. I love this gospel, I pray you can find a love for it as well. Love you all
